YAY!!! Tattoos! Photos of tattoos! WHOOHOOOO!!!

This is AWESOME! :-D They are gorgeous!!! It took from 11:30am to 14:30pm approximatily to make the new tattoo of Scrooge McDuck and to do a touch up off my beloved first tattoo, my dear wolf. :-) The tattoo-artist was brilliant, I tell you. Bloody brilliant. I am pleased as punch. :-) My guests for tonight hasn't arrived yet, so I have time to make this post first. :-D

Lets start with my old tattoos, since I know I have some new people here reading that might not have seen them. And these are new photos of them as well, that [livejournal.com profile] peting73 took with his awesome camera yesterday. :-)

First one I made. When I was 19 years old, to celebrate taking my drivers licence. My beloved wolf that was in dire need off some lovin' as you can see. The colours are horrible faded. Tattoo-artist was Martin at Tattoo-Martin.(Click for bigger.)

Second one I made, my viking/celtic bracelet. Yes, it goes all the way around, under the arm as well. Painful under the arm, take my word for it. Still holding up pretty well, I'd say. I was about 21 or 22 years old when I made this, I think. Tatoo-artist was Nicke at Tattoo-Martin.(Click for bigger.)

Third one I made. An image of Cutter from the graphic novel series, Elfquest. I really love this one. :-) The swirling mist was done free handed by the tattoo-artist. Looks gorgeous. I was about 24 or 25 when I made this. The tattoo-artist was Helenius at Helenius Tattoos. (Click for bigger.)

Fourth one I did. Yeah... Thats Xena's weapons. ;-) Chakram and two swords. I love it. Same thing here, the tattoo-artist did the swirling mist totally free handed. :-) I was about 27 or 28 when I made this. Tattoo-artist was Jörgen at Pistolero Tattoo.

Now for the tattoos of today! :-D The tattoo-artist was Jörgen at Pistolero Tattoo. Same one who did the Xenas weapons tattoo. :-) I had such a good experience with him the last time I was there, so the decision to go to him again, was not hard. ;-)

We started out with Scrooge McDuck! :-D This is very much a symbol of my childhood, since I have loved reading about them Disney ducks since I was a wee little girl. And I have had a subscription off the Donald Duck & Co comic since I was 6 years old. Haven't thrown a comic away since. Original artist is the amazing Don Rosa. :-D Ain't he cute! *loves on the grumpy gold-digger* Maybe he'll give me economical luck to... Who knows? X-D

Then we went on to take care of my beloved wolf in need of lovin'. And did he ever... First reaction to my dear wolf from Jörgen was that it was badly made. Something I have never thought about. The motive he liked, but being a tattoo-artist himself, he could see that technically it wasn't that well made. I told him who made it, prompting the reaction that yeah... Tattoo-Martin can do wondrous work. At times. Just not every time. And now a days, he mostly drinks... Sad news. I liked him back then. Anyway. Once he had filled in the old tattoo, I told him to do something more. I didn't care much what. After some thinking he made that misty pawprint with the mist going around the whole wolf. As before, he did this fully free handed. I think it looks damn epic. :-D

I couldn't be more pleased with my tattoos. :-D I am so going back to Jörgen at Pistolero Tattoo again if I want something more done. Chances are that I will. Give me a year or two. I love tattoos. It is so, so beautiful. :-D

I've wanted to get celtic done on me.. wanted it near where I have my clovers - and I want to get my clovers fixed. +sigh+ Damn stretchmarks. I'm irish - so it makes sense. lol. I wanted to also get 'believe' written in gaelic on there as well.. +shrugs+

Anyways, I love the tattos you got done yesterday? was it? They are awesome and the elfquest image is pretty righteous as well.. and who would have thought - you having something xena related on ya! lol. =x

Today actually. ;-) When I did this post time was around 4:30pm. Now, when commenting, it is 10pm. So today. ;-)

And thank you! And yeah. All the tattoos mean something to me. Even the geeky once, like the Xena one and the Elfquest one. :-) It doesn't take that long before they become a part of you, your tattoos. But you know that, don't you? ;-) Sounds like you have good tattoo-plans for the future to! :-D

*points to icon* Thats how I felt getting them tattoo's.... ;-D

Why would it be wrong to have a tattoo when being religious? No really? *curious* I mean, if you look back, and I mean way way back in history, you did get a tattoo for religious reasons. If you look at other religions, that still holds today. Also, if you have a motive that speaks to you and your belief, then I'd say go for it.

Don't worry. Not offended here. :-) (Since I am guessing you meant to write "no disrespect" and not "to disrespect"...)

I find it interesting that if your not Christian, catholic or Protestant, your a heathen... Well. Heathens have a religion or another to, you know. ;-) And to them, you are praising your God (or Gods) by making yourself as beautiful as you can. With tattoos. Or, scarifications. Or painting your body. I mean, most body-modifications have there roots in a religion or another. Read up on it. ;-)

Judaism forbids tattooing, though I've known a number of tattooed Jews. Apparently only Jews tattooed against their will (those in Auschwitz and other concentration camps) were allowed burial in Jewish cemeteries but I think that's been relaxed in the US depending on location. Nancy Spungen was Jewish, had tattoos and was buried in a Jewish cemetery over thirty yeas ago.

Well, what do you know... I didn't know that. :-) Thanx for enlightening me. :-D

Oh, you should definitly put Jörgen on your list. He is a really great artist. And wonderful to talk to to. :-D Another artist I would ADORE to go and get a tattoo by is Heidi at Heidi Hay Tattoo (http://www.heidihaytattoo.com/). I love her style. :-D

Although my favorite is still the Xena one ....

Oh, I have been a fan off the Disney ducks since I was six. And probably before then to!

Sweet! I love the Scrooge and the 'update' on the wolf is really nice.

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2009-08-22 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanx! :-D Yeah, my beloved wolf really needed that update. :-) I was so young when I made that tattoo... :-P

[identity profile] demon-kyo.livejournal.com 2009-08-22 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Ahhh your wolf look soooo great now, makes me itch to get another myself. And your elf is bangin!!!

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2009-08-22 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! Yeah, I adore my first tattoo. I really do, so I didn't want to change it, just breath new life into it. :-) And that Jörgen really did. The elf, well... Since you say you love manga you really, really should check out Elfquest (http://www.elfquest.com/)... Take my word for it. ;-)

The Scrooge tattoo turned out really nice. That pic is so cocky, yet so cute... :-)

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2009-08-23 11:18 am (UTC)(link)
Cocky and cute... I do so love that old grumpy gold-digger. ;-D Only Don Rosa, I tell you... *laugh*

[identity profile] chigrima.livejournal.com 2009-08-23 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Looks great! ^_^ Scrooge is adorable grumpy.

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I know! I love and adore that picture! Very suitable for a Scrooge-tattoo. :-D

[identity profile] steinsgrrl.livejournal.com 2012-02-08 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Ohh, lovely tattoos! And I love what you had done to the wolf. Very nice rework on that.

My ex got a band around her arm, too, and said the only place it really hurt was right underneath. I didn't even want to try it after that. I think I'm too wussy. lol

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2012-02-08 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
OH yes... Right underneath the arm is a really really painful place to get tattooed... I think I was in pain there for a week! But it was definitely worth it. I've seen people with bands like that plenty time where there is just... a hole or something right underneath the arm where they chickened out. Doesn't look to good, if you ask me.

Thanx for liking my tattoos. :-) Really should get new photos of them, I think. Since now they are all healed and have... gotten comfortable in my skin, if you will. ;-)

Also, this was 2 soon 3 years ago... My tattoo-itch is back. And I got it bad... REALLY bad... I want a new one SO badly, you have no idea...
