Amusing things during borking work...

Work, work, work... Mondays and Tuesdays are soooo looong. :-P 10:30am to 8:00pm... Thats alot of hours. And they turn even more boring when noone answers when i call them! Sure, they can be mad at me for calling and trying to sell stuff, but thats bloody better then all this beeping in my ear, I tell you. *sigh* I shouldn't complain though. It leaves me free to surf the net, and especially LJ. I am sooo happy I figured out a way to access LJ here at work.

I love my flist/reading list. Seriously. It never ever fail to amuse me. X-D If your not reading [livejournal.com profile] ursulavs LJ, I highly suggest you do that. Lucky thing I read this one this weekend though, because I had some trouble to stop laughing after I read the post that started with the words "So I went to a porn store with my buddy Otter today..." Read it... Seriously. You'll laugh your ass off! I swear.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] das_mervin also helped me get through a very boring and long day the other day with some stuff she found at Fandomwank. If you like Twilight, you should not look at this. Because this is some serious bashing of Twilight and the Twilight fandom...
Leave the Godess of Unicorn Orgasms Alone!.
The whole wank is about the biggest fanfic in the Twilight fandom, called Wide Awake.... And... The author in this story has changed the word for orgasm (it is a human AU) to... Hang in there.... Unicorn. You read that right. Instead of using the word orgasm, she instead writes unicorn. Insane! *head-desk* Also, according to Twilight fans this is the best fanfic in the fandom... Then I do not wanna know what the other books are about... Seriously. :-P There is even an LJ-community dedicated to sporking this fanfic, [livejournal.com profile] boredawake. If your insane enough and you wanna read the crack based upon crack, you can see it on FF.Net here: Wide Awake.

These books and there fans never fail to amuse me. *continues to read the crack*

Historic beauty

It is insane, I tell you... You really should check out the comments on that FandomWank post. There are a couple of selections from the fanfic in the comments. Geez... I nearly peed my self laughing! X-D

I did read a few ... seriosly O.o and this is the fic for the fandom, eh?

Riiight ...

Kind of reminds me of the craze over Reposession by LazuliKat in BtVS fandom. (Which, after much hemming and hawing I finally read. Was alright, nothing I'd save and fawn over .... not after reading Masters and Minions or Carrie's Time Series...)

Which makes me wonder if maybe I'm doing something wrong. I don't have oodles and oodles of fans fawning over my work like I'm the next big thing. Perhaps I should institute some euphanism for orgasims, like wanding in HP fandom ...

I'm sure 'staking' has already been used to death in BtVS

Ah well. I guess I'll have to live with my mediocrity.

I'd hardly call you a mediocre writer. Far from it. I have just drifted away from the Buffy-fandom lately. :-)

But yeah... It is kinda scary that that is the fanfic of the fandom... I mean, how bad can the rest be? And I really don't want an answer to that quesiton...

there was an article i think recently written by stephen king where he compared stephanie meyers and jk rowling and said stephanie meyers is a terrible author. ive still never read twilight and i probably never will, but all i could think was 'FINALLY!'

[identity profile] ruchirahni.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 03:12 pm (UTC)(link)
although im not a huge fan of stephen king, either.

Not a huge fan of Stephen King either. I have seen one movie by him that really REALLY rocked my socks. Very spooky, but cool to. Rose Red. See it if you haven't. ;-)

And then that comment about SMeyers made me love him. Seriously. And then there is fans that says he just said that since he is jealous of SMeyers... Yeah... Right. *shakes head*
