This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

This has really been a great weekend... Well, apart from the fact that I had the worst menstrual cramps I have had in a long time saturday, but... apart from that. A great weekend.

Friday I had the entire day off. I could so get used to that. :-D Hopefully I can to since my schedule is that I will only work Monday to Thursday. :-) I was supposed to take care of stuffs at home, but nah... Really didn't feel like it. Hopefully I'll get better at that though. :-) Goal for Friday that is coming up: Work on the moutain of ironing that I have waiting for me...

Saturday my menstrual cramps hit me HARD over the head, OMG! It was so so bad, I even considered going to the emergency at the hospital. That was a long time ago my cramps where that bad. I am not amused. I'll talk to a doc about that as soon as I can. :-( Anyway, during the evening we went to the vampire LARP. :-) That was fun! [livejournal.com profile] peting73 started playing a new character! A really cute one to! Ehr... Or not so cute, since he looks like a monster, but is an artist at heart. Really cool character. :-) Rose had a tough night though... Both her daughter Joy and one of her servents died. So, she was a bit more unstable then usual. I'll miss playing so closely with [livejournal.com profile] _devilcandy_ as I have been. She played Joy so perfectly. :-) But I had fun while it lasted, I really did.

Today, Sunday, my cramps have almost gone. Bliss! :-D Been over to [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit to try and fix her new bookshelf, called Romeo. She has just moved to a bigger and very pretty apartment in town. It is AWESOME! :-D And considering how much books that woman has, she needed a new bookshelf. Now we are trying to build it together. It isn't working with us.... Romeo is working against us, I tell ya'! But we'll beat him yet! Just wait and see! No internets yet for [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit, but she'll get it soon, I bet. She is suffering from some serious LJ-withdrawel... *smirk* But she is fine, and any friends off hers shouldn't worry. :-)

Tomorrow time for a looooooong day at work. :-P But gladly I have figured out how to access LJ from work, so hopefully the day will go by quickly. :-)

Well, then you got a lucky body that actually listen to you. ;-) I don't mind the bleeding so much, but I do mind the cramps, oh yes... :-P

It doesn't listen much to me at all 'cause it still has female bits. My body is evul! I blame the reincarnation bureau for doing a misfile so I was born with a manufacturing fault. xP

*smirk* Well, luckily we can do something about that in this day and age. ;-) Ever thought about that?

Yeah... but it takes a long time to get the help needed. It's still considered an imagined problem that's not "real". -_-U

I know, I know... Stupid. Even if I don't have that problem, I still think it is stupid that it is not taken seriously. I have a small memory that you need to go through alot of therapy etc for about a year or so, before they start doing something about it... If my memory is correct... Well. I guess one has to start somewhere, right?

First you have to accept who you are which takes a long time as you're probably in denial and terrified of might be. Then you have to talk to a psychiatrist and get a referral to a unit that deals with people with gender identity disorders. The hard part about this is that some flat out tells you they don't want to write a referral as they don't believe a word you say because you don't fit into their own little idea of how a transgendered person is. Some takes a long time to write the referral as they either forget about it, waits because they think you'll reconsider, etc. If you get a referral though you still have to wait til there's a spot open for you at the clinic. After THAT you have to talk to psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, do physical examinations, live as the gender you feel you are fulltime (which can be very hard if you're not completely open about it to friends, family and co-workers and you might not want to be as you've been subjected to disapprovement, dismay and flat out abuse if you're unlucky) and if they deem that you are indeed transgendered you'll get hormone therapy after about 1-2 years of full investigation + discussions about different methods of surgery.

So, long story short... it takes time and it's not easy on the one dealing with these issues. The suicide rate among TS persons under the age of 30 is very high because of the attitude one is met with by the rest of society. :(

ARGH! Oh, so so stupid and idiotic. :-( If the suicide rate is high among people today, it must have been insanely high if you go back in history. :-( It makes me both pissed off and sad. That sociaty still has such a hard time to accept differences. :-( That not everyone is what is deemed normal.... And what really sets me off is that those who are supposed to help, refuses to... THAT pisses me off! IF I ever get kids, I'll make damn sure they accept EVERYONE! *growl*

The biggest problem is probably the whole gender roles. Everyone expect you to be a certain way because of what your body looks like. And if nature fucked you over you have to overcompensate many times just to please those who will decide if you'll get help or not. Way too many are stuck in the old heteronormative thinking that you can't be both TS and gay (FtM and like men, MtF and like women)... or just be the way you are and not the übermacho or überfemme person they want you to be.

You're a wonderful person, you know that? Accepting other no matter how they are is a gift. <3

Well, thank you! *blush* Well. That I am accepting might be since I myself took alot of time before I got out of the closet.. to myself, even... You know, liking both men and women? ;-) You should hear me and Peting discuss woman these days..... Ehm. ;-D

Also, gender-roles should be purged. Just saying. :-P

It's took me over 27 years to accept that I seem to prefer women even if I still oogle men though I doubt I'd be able to have a relationship with a guy ever again. Still trying to figure out what and who I am though. It's complicated. >.>

Me and Seb can't discuss women 'cause we have such different taste. I discuss the females with my co-worker instead. x3

Gotta agree with Moto Moto from Madagascar 2...

"I like 'em big
I like 'em chunky
I like 'em big
I like 'em plumpy
I like 'em round
With something, something"

We're growing old but not up, luv! Every day is a battle that we're fighting and winning as we stay alive. Compared to how it used to be when we last met I've come a long way. Soon I might be able to live a somewhat "normal" and boring life lika any other Svensson out there. ;)
