LARP yesterday was bloody FANTASTIC!!! Got lots of inspiration for yet another chapter! :-D From now on each chapter in the story will deal with one LARP. :-D I hope you still enjoy this.

Warning: Mentally insane vampire. Blood-play, mind-games, depression, extreme violence etc... It will get worse as we go along...
Disclaimer: The game this story takes place in is Vampire: The Masqurade, and is credited to the company White Wolf. Characters Rose Valentine, Bosse, Camilla and Kim are MINE! The other characters belong to there respective players. Thanx for letting me have my way with them!

Chapter 2: Family and lessons
(Dealing with the LARP at 30th of August 2008)
We all have different things that are our duties. Mine is to show Rose how computers, phones, TV's and new inventions work. Also to show Bosse, since he needs to know these things for his duties also. He takes cares of Rose company, Borås Weaving Mill. One of the oldest companies in town. Very clever and intellectual, he runs Her company with an iron fist. But to do so he needs computers, faxes, phones etc... Nearly as old as Rose he needs my help with this. Something that annoys him, I know. He'll never admit needing any help with anything. Kim, my son, who grew up here, he is Her knight, She says. It makes him look really proud. He is training a lot at the gyms in town. His physical strength is very impressive. Usually when She is out on town, he is the one driving Her. I know She just uses him for his muscles, but Kim don't want to hear. I know She uses us all, but we are letting Her, since we love Her. We all do.
Every other Saturday She goes to a social gathering for the Kindred in town. They all meet up to discuss politics and to socialize. Rose loves these gatherings with all their intrigues, secret meetings and the likes.
When She came home this last early Sunday morning, before the sun had begun to show itself, She was beyond pleased with Herself. Smiling like a cat... Apparently She has been offered one of the more important political positions in the city. As Chief Harpy, the one that keeps track of all the Kindreds in the city. What they do, when they do well... and when they do bad... The Cheif-Harpy makes sure everyone knows, spreading the rumours. An important position... since the word of the Chief-Harpy is taken for truth...
Lately, we’ve all been very worried for Rose. She seemed to have come down with a sickness lately... walking around saying it was too quite... forcing us to put on loud music on strange hours... and one of her childes that she has created, Joy de Vivre, came to stay with us too with her ghouls. They said Joy had been walking around talking like that too... I so do hope it is nothing serious. Rose hasn't given us any information on what it can be... if she is hurt, or anything.
It is good she can feel joy over the Chief Harpy offer still, even though she is feeling a bit ill these days. It is a good thing that Joy and her ghouls are still staying with us. It keeps Rose busy, and she throws her motherly affections on Joy. Although, they aren't exactly like that of human mothers...
They both try to keep distracted, so they don't hear the silence in there heads, as they call it. I asked Bosse about this. Silence in there heads? He has been around for a long time, and I figured he could tell us what Rose and Joy meant. If they were hurt or what? He put it like this. All Malkavians are connected to each other through this thing called the Madness Network. He described it as a spider web, with all the Malkavians in the world having one thread each connected to all the other threads. Makes them recognize each other right away, and they can even speak telepathically through it with each other. It isn't all good, though, since the Network can also spread madness, especially if a Malkavian dies close to another. To me, it sounds like the internet on crack. Apparently Malkavians can't turn it off either. According to Rose and Joy, they miss it dreadfully, since that is what is broken, or so they said. They have told us, all there ghouls, to be very silent during the day time when they sleep since they sleep very lightly because of this. Especially Rose. She's always been a light sleeper.
Joy is still living with us. She is very different but also very much like Rose at the same time. She hasn't been a Kindred, a vampire, as long as Rose. Only for 16 years. As long as I have been a ghoul. But! She also told us that she used to be a ghoul before that! Just like me, Kim and Bosse! Oh, my greatest dream is to have that same gift given to me. By Rose.
She is very talkative too, Joy. She told us about a vision she had. About a wave that crashed in to a city, silencing everything. Although she couldn't see what city it was... I had never heard a vision being described before.... But I understood that was what she was describing with the wave and an all that. I wonder what it means? According to Rose there has been a rumour brewing among the Kindred’s in the city about a Silence sweeping through Sweden of some sort... a dangerous one. We were told to be careful when we were running errands for her.
Joy is a very social creature. Unlike Rose, who likes to sit and observe, listening to our conversations. Joy told us that the reason Rose hasn't been officially elected Chief Harpy was that She didn't have the support of all the Primogen.
Me and Kim, of course wondered what the Primogen was? We didn't know. Rose usually keeps us at home in her haven, or sends us on small assignments in the city. She doesn't think that we are fully trained yet. Of course She is right. She is always right. So we asked Bosse. He has become more or less the leader of us three ghouls, considering he is the oldest of us. Oh, but She must love me most... Mustn't She?
Anyway, Bosse told us that the Primogen are the leaders of each Clan. They have meetings now and then to discuss politics and the like. You might think they are the ones leading the city, but it isn't. Bosse described it quite well when we asked him. You know how the hierarchy worked during the medieval ages? With the King at the top? Then the nobles? Then the richer people? And at the bottom the workers? Well, in the Kindred Society it works much the same. At the top of the pyramid there is the Prince. He is the oldest of the Kindred’s in the city. Rose, who have lived here since 1875 has never meet him. He is much older then a thousand years. It boggles one's mind. He has a right hand man. The Senechal. Speaking for the Prince the Seneshal wields almost the same power as him, but can be replaced any time. Then there is the Primogen. One of each clan. 7 they are, in the Kindred sect the Camarilla. Then there is the Sheriff and all his deputies. They have the right to hunt any Kindred or ghoul that might be in the city without permission and destroy them. And the Scourge. He, or at the moment she, is the one that deals out punishment and official executions if there is a need for it. Bosse told us not to worry about that though. If there is a need for punishment for us, Rose will do it herself. She enjoys it, and I can only smile at the thought of it.
So, that’s how the Kindred Sociaty works. But what about the Chief Harpy, you say? Well, the Chief Harpy is a bit beside the pyramid. She keeps track of everyone and all the records of the Kindred’s in the city. She, or he as the current Harpy is, works closely with the other Kindred’s that has important posts in the city.
Oh, I so hope Rose will be the Chief Harpy! You see, to be able to choose a Chief Harpy all the Primogen in the city need to be agreed that this is the one that is best suited for the post. So far... They haven't been able to agree. Annoys Rose to no end. Add to that the fact that the Madness Network is still broken, it stresses Her a lot.
She is of course pleased she is even considered for the post of the Chief Harpy. She is 157 years old, still not considered one of the oldest in the city. Oh, no. There are many that are much older then Her. So to be even considered before them, is a great honour. But that they can't make up their mind, that annoys Her.
And we all know what to do when something annoys Her. She wants a good game then. In her tea-room. She smiles so sweetly then... The air in her tea-room grows almost thick with the smell of our blood mingling on her floor... and in her tea-cups... It almost feels.. I don't know.. arousing. And Her smile... I'd die for that smile to stay there. She has asked us to support Her and help Her should She get the post. She didn't even have to ask. We'd all do anything for Her and She knows it.
