This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

Dec. 30th, 2010

Time to consider what has been going on during 2010 and what I want for 2011. Inspired by the ever awesome Ugglefot, here is some thoughts that is supposed to summarize my thoughts... if that is even possible. I highly doubt that. He he he... Hope you don't mind I stole some inspiration there, Ugglefot? :-)

Things that has happened in 2010:

I actually got a job. Well, at least as a called in substitute thats paid by the hour. And as a librarian, no less. Shocking. :-) I have actually grown into my role as a librarian. The things I only knew in theory, I now know in practicality. I can now proudly call my self a librarian, and actually prove it to. :-)

Apart from that, it has been a tough year, economically. I have had no income for much of the year. And although [livejournal.com profile] peting73 has never ever complained and is telling me that I am a silly woman to worry so much, I can't help but worry. If it wasn't for [livejournal.com profile] peting73, I wouldn't know what to do. So thats the bad part.

Good part is, that despite the economically problems, I have actually felt pretty good this year. Unlike the last time I was unemployed a couple of years ago, I have not turned depressed and apathetic. No, I have done things! Worked on things! This is of the good.

Still very active in the vampire-LARP, and it is still as fun after 9 years of doing this... I very much plan on having as fun next year as I did during 2010.

Went to a concert for the first time in 20 or so years to see Tokio Hotel live. It didn't cure my fangirlyness, let me tell you. It made it worse. :-P

Things I am grateful for from 2010:

That the librarians of the Trandaredsbibliotek and Ekarängsbibliotek actually dared take a gamble on me after the period for my trainee position was over, and giving me a paid-by-the-hour position. I can not thank them enough for this, seriously. They have definitly turned my life around.

That [livejournal.com profile] peting73 is still with me, supporting me and loving me. There is no one like this man, let me tell you.

That I got to celebrate my 20 year long and ongoing friendship with [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit. You are, so awesome... Love you, sis! Lets make it another 20 years. X-D

All the friends I have gathered during this year. Both online and in real life. I am grateful for each and everyone of you.

Things I am proud of from 2010:

That I actually managed to get a job working as my profession. And that I can say that I am good at it. :-)

Also, that I finally said enough and stepped down from being a part of the board for the vampire-LARP club. I was close to breaking down from that work, and I am proud I managed to finally just say Stop. Enough.

My wonderful, awesome brother. I love him and his family so much. I am so proud of how he constantly works and has taken over much of the responsibility my father had within our huge extended family, helping fixing peoples cars, tractors and other mechanical things. Helping my uncle with his farm. Helping mom with this and that. AND working full time (sometimes more then that) on his job at another farm and being able to be a loving father and husband as well. That takes skill, people. He rocks.

Things that scare me from 2010:

That the current government is planning on privatize our libraries in Sweden... FUCK NO! *growl*

That the racist/neonazi political party in Sweden is growing stronger every year.... They gained a lot of political power during 2010. That is scary.

Things I'll try and remember and learn from and bring with me to the new year, 2011:

Continue to keep a bright outlook on my future. I CAN do this! And I WILL, dammit! Try to keep faith in myself.

Hang on to my sense of weird humor and the easiness I have to talk to strangers. It is a gift, really.

Continue being a perv and geek, even if I am growing older. Who said you had to be boring just because your growing older?

My biggest hope I can't write about right now, but yeah.... That to WILL happen, dammit!

Things I need to work on during 2011:

My self confidence. Always a struggle that. But I am working on it. Constantly. :-)

Call my brother more often. We both suck at calling the other, but once we do we talk for an hour or more, easily. :-)

And lastly, because it amused me: X-D
