I just don't know about kids these days.... I know, that makes me sounds damn old, but still. :-P

Anyway. Been off from work today, so been home doing laundry and ironing clothes, pretending to be a housewife. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 was off to a workmates this evening to play poker, so I went over to [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbits for some quality time with my best friend. :-) Was awesome! We drank wine and talked shit all evening. X-D (Snakes on a plane is a surprisingly entertaining movie!)

So, I left her apartment at the end off the evening to catch a buss home. Ran down the stairs and went around a corner to get out off the house... And when rounding the corner I see this young girl sitting on the floor by the door... Couldn't have been older then 17-18. Since she is looking sad and a little upset, I offer my help. You all know I am a very caring person, and if I see someone in trouble or in need off help, I can't help myself. I just have to help them. If that makes sense.

So, yeah. Fuck the buss, I thought, this young girl can't just sit around here, I'll help her. She told me she had been at a party with friends from class, and they had made a deal that her friends where to provide her with alcohol that evening, since she'd been away from school quite a great deal.... since she got cancer... *sigh* And. Since she had cancer she couldn't hold her alcohol as well as she usually could, so when her friends wanted to go down to a pub, she didn't wanna come since she felt a little bit to drunk. So, what had her friends done then? Waited for her parents to come get her? Made sure she was alright? We talk about an intoxicated girl with cancer here. No. They just left her and went down to have a party at the pub. Great friends, uhu?

Also. Her mobilphone had broken, poor kid, so she couldn't call and talk to her parents to see when they were to arrive. I offered mine and while we talked, her parents arrived. Kid gets up, but is so wobbly on her feet, I helped her out to her parents car. Parents first think I am a big sister to the kids friends, but the situation is soon explained and the parents are so grateful they offer me a ride home. :-) During the ride, the kid tells us she is sorry and so embarrassed. Me? I just tell her to come back and talk when she has puked all over a suit and coat that you have to clean at the dry-cleaners... (Yes, I have done that. Long story.) She giggles and again tells me how nice I am, to which her parents whole heartedly agrees. During the conversation in the car, I miss to say my name, but they figure out where I work. :-)

They drop me off, and I tell them to take good care of there daughter since hey... we've all been there. ;-) They just smile and agree, and the kid is again so sorry and so embarrassed. And then they take off. Oh, she'll have a hangover from hell tomorrow, I am sure, but her parents seemed cool, so I doubt they'll give her a hard time about it. :-)

Odd end off the evening, but it feels good to have done a good dead. :-)

Geisha....
