This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

I am so happy with how I got the layout to look today. :-) In its original it was kinda... pink. :-) I don't like pink that much, I gotta say. But it looks pretty good now, Y/N? Fighting twins ftw! Man, do I know how it is to fight with your sibling... :-P

Anyway. Been quite a busy couple of days, oh yes. Apartment is in a serious mess. Especially my desk. At least I think it is a desk. Under here. Somewhere... *cough* But we'll deal with that to. Tomorrow is the big cleaning off doom!!! Plus laundry. Definitely necessary since they'll start renovating the laundry-room on Monday, meaning we won't have access to a washing-machine for a month. I am not amused. Thank gawd [livejournal.com profile] peting73s aunt lives really close by. And has a washing-machine in the house.

Even though I have been crazy busy at work (without getting much pay for it...), I do like it. All the librarians are really nice to me, I even get to be a part of there meetings. The one with the biggest responsibility of me said that I should take on some groups off kids at the school to discuss fantasy-books and comics... o.O Yeah. *cough* That just didn't make me crazy nervous. Not to mention the supply of comics at that tiny library ain't that big. A few really good once, but they are few. The rest is the classical comics that you find in near to every swedish library. I have no idea how I'll encourage kids to read comics working with that. The library have a bit of manga to, and the kids borrow those so much, they are never in the shelf. What we do have in said library though are quite a bit off fantasy-books. Surprised me a little. Even from the age off 6-8 or 9 (when you first start to read) way up to 12 or 13. Some really really popular. Also the sort that never ends up in the shelf. We had to throw away some off the Harry Potter books the other day and order new once. Why? The cover was literary falling off. I'll need to read up on fantasy books for the little kids first though, if I am to do this.

I do read a lot, but not books for kids, you know? And there is one series off books for the middle-age, 8-10 or 11 that I discovered today. Also very popular. And I must say, I liked the authors idea for it. It is detective-stories for kids. With kids in the lead. And the main character, a boy called Kalle Skavank, only has one foot... (Skavank = fault/crack/warping) He and his best friend (a girl) solves (well...) crimes in Stockholm being street-smart city-kids. They are really, really thin these books, but so cute with cute art in them. And I like the idea the author has here. Gotta get them while they are young and get them to read good books right away, right? :-) I am not ashamed to admit, I will check this series off books out, even though they are meant for kids. :-)
