Oh my gawd... What a weekend... Lets see if we can take this in a somewhat order. :-)
Saturday.... Ah, yes. :-)
peting73 ran The Gothenburg Half Marathon. And he ran it all! I am so proud of him, you have no idea!!! Me and my future mother in law went there to give him support and cheer him on. And that we did. We got there before he started, so that gave us time to walk around and check out stores, try on silly hats, and drink a cold beer out in the sun. Yeah, she is cool. ;-) After about 1 and a half hour we figured he might have gotten closer to the city center and we found a good spot to stand so we could see all the runners... And OH MY GAWD!!! It was a lot of people running this race. So many, in fact, it was a world-record! Standing and cheering everyone on, was... amazing. So many different people, with just one goal in mind.
( So many runners! )
It took
peting73 a bit longer to get to the city center though... After almost two hours we spotted him in the crowd! And even though we both figured we wouldn't make fools off us, we cheered him on like crazy when we saw him! And when he heard us, and spotted us, it seemed to give him some extra energy and he came running towards us, tired but happy and gave me a kiss and a hug (very sweaty!) before running on! Both me and his mom got so touched by this we became giggle like little schoolgirls for the trip home... X-D
( My hero! )
So, yes. That was quite awesome, yes. :-) Back home, I just had time to go home to change and get ready to go to
spicehobbit.
peting73 had not gotten home yet, and I had no idea when, so I just... packed up my stuff and left to watch the Eurovision Song Contest with sis. :-) And to drink wine. Lets not forget the wine... X-D
The plan was to do some embroidery while watching the contest, but we soon forgot that in our eagerness to cheer on our favorites and to discuss... very obscure things... Man... When we drink alcohol our discussions sure turn interesting... o.O
I must say there were quite a bit of good music in the contest this year. My favorites were Norway, Germany and Estonia. And a little bit Malta, since she had such an awesome voice, and also Great Britain since Andrew Lloyd Webber was on the stage... But the biggest favorite was Norway. And they won the whole thing!!! YAY! We also came to the conclusion that the young singer looks like a mix between a hobbit and Harry Potter! X-D Quite cute, actually!
( My favorites who didn't win... )
And lastly, the winner... Alexander Rybak from Norway!
( The winner! From Norway! )
I really like this song. It has drilled a hole in my brain and made a home. X-D
So you could say that Saturday was pretty awesome. :-) Then come Sunday. Also an awesome day!
tekiila celebrated her birthday in Gothenburg, so back there I went. A bunch of friends meeting up for dinner. :-) It was great!
astroflammante was also there, and she had some problem getting home, since there was a soccer event going on in Gothenburg, and the team for her city played. Meaning the trains going to her home-town were full. So she couldn't get home. Instead, she spent the night here. One thing is for sure, I always help my friends if needed. And having a sofa bed is oh so practical. ;-) Anyway, the dinner was great! So yummy! And it was wonderful to meet all friends again. A bit embarrassing even, since all told me how thin I was! o.O I wouldn't call my self thin. I have lost weight sure... But really... *blush*
Oh well. :-) Thats it for today. Tonight we are only gonna relax. I think we need that here,
peting73 and me. :-)
