Had a trip to Gothenburg yesterday (I'll write about that one later) and while I was at it, I brought a bunch of books for bookcrossing. :-)

At first I planned to leave two books on the train, but when we got close to Gothenburg I was told that the train was to be cleaned out, so that didn't work. Instead I left them at one of the many little coffee-shops at the Centralstation. :-) One of the books I have read myself, was very good! And the other I got from [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit, after she cleaned out her bookshelf.

In to the city I went. And while doing my shopping in the HUGE shopping-mall Nordstan, I left two books at a little sitting-area when I took a break. I mean, why not? There is silly amounts of people in that shopping-mall all the time. Someone is bound to find them, yeah?

Finally all was done, and it was time to go home. When walking past the first place I left books, I saw one of them was taken! Exited! I hope whoever took it enjoyed it. :-) So I decided to leave my last two books at the Central-station to. Considering the amount of people walking through there everyday, all of them on a journey it makes sense. This time however I left them in the other end of the Centralstation, on a bench, so they wouldn't be to close to each other. :-) One of these books are also from the clean out of [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbits bookshelf.

A big relese! Many books released into the wild! :-D I hope someone finds a good home. GOOD LUCK, BOOKS!

Also, if anyone wants any of the books that I have marked Available in my bookshelf on Bookcrossing, then please let me know. We can figure out a way for me to send it to you and then you can release it again after you read it. Of course, I expect that you register that you got it on the site. ;-) It is very easy, and you can be anonymous if you so wish.

So, as I said in my bookcrossing-post I had a trip to Gothenburg yesterday. I always enjoy going to that city. One of the biggest cities in Sweden it is really bustling with people and things that are going on all the time. Not a second of calm from you get of the train. As I said in that post there, I brought books to bookcross in the city and did so.

But the real reason for the trip was... boots. Doc Marten boots. :-) My old boots were so old there were holes in them. Big holes. One hole so big I can poke my finger through it. Not a good thing when it is raining or snowing. Nope. Buying Doc Marten boots are expensive, but on the other hand they last for years. These that I just threw away I bought together with [livejournal.com profile] chigrima a couple of years ago. Three years? No, more then four. Before I meet Peting. They have lasted long, and been good friends. The leather is soft and very worn, been shaped by my feet to fit perfectly. But you can only use a pair of boots so long, can you? And wet feet is not fun.

To Gothenburg and the store Shock. A lovely lovely store with a bit more punk rock style on the stuff they sale, some fantasy and dark fantasy stuff there as well. I love that store. Anyway. They have ALOT of diffent boots there. And also my absolut favorite Doc Marten boot there is: 10 eye steel toe boot. Yep. Same as the once with the holes in them. :-) And when I tried them on it was quite shocking to see and feel the difference between the old once and the new. Amazing. The leather is very very stiff, not soft like in the old once. And the sole is very stiff to. Not to mention they are not yet shaped after my feet, which also feel odd. Oh, I'll have some serious trouble breaking these boots in. It'll be a couple of painful weeks before they get perfect to. :-P

I was so amuzed by the difference in the new and old boots that I had to take pictures of them together and apart. The picture of my old once I thought turned out so cool, I poked around in The Gimp, changed size and turned it black and white, to put in a header. New header requires new layout, so here we go. :-) Turned out pretty cool, didn't it? :-)

And here we go, Doc Marten boots, old and new. Very loved and not yet loved. :-)

... and that just what'll do... One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you.... *sings* )

While at Shock drooling at all the different Doc's and nice clothes they have (sadly to small), I also drooled quite a bit over all the different Converse-copies they have. I saw these that are in the danger of being bought by me if my old Converse-copies won't last this summer... Cool aren't they? At the moment there are no holes in my old once, so I can't justify buying these. :-) But I did so enjoy them. Tried them on to, and they were very comfy as well.

You keep lying when you should be truthing.... *sings* )

Alright. I'll stop spamming you for today. And go back to my World of Warcraft playing. ;-D
