So, where is KSena, you might ask yourself... Not online on any of my chatt-programs, oh no.. Way behind on reading up my F-list I am to. And this is the reason. Finally The Burning Crusade, the long awaited expansion for World of Warcraft, has been release. And yes. I have a copy, and P has one to. And I am just saying... Wow... Blizzard sure did put some work in when creating this expansion. I am highly impressed. :-) Lets see if I can summon my impressions of this thing in some order....
In the Burning Crusade, you get to play two new races, Blood Elfs on Horde-side and Draenei on Allience side. Both have there quirks and weird stuff just like the rest of the races in the game. And a capital to, of course. I have made characters to both races just because I was curious.
The Bloodelfs
( Bloodelf-picture here... )
What can I say... These guys was once the High Elfs, rulers of all elfs, but when the Scourge and the Burning Legion, the true bad guys in World of Warcraft, decided to destroy the Sunwell, who were feeding all off the High Elfs with arcane magic all off the High Elfs either got extremely sick or died from withdrawal. Hence they call themselfs blood elfs, as a memory of all who died. Now they feed there addiction to arcane magic by pulling magic from other magic users to feed on. Yes, we have a race to play that are actually junkies... Magic-junkies... They are quite interesting, balancing on the edge of insanity and extreme wickedness, since they really go to any end to get a fix, so to speak... Yes, I love to play them. :-) For the Horde! For the Sin'Dorei!
I made two blood elfs to play. A very, very gay and very very wicked priest known as Tyldak Shadowkeen. And also a very cooky and evil mage called Cylesta Sunfire. Both of them goes to any length at all to find someone to feed there magic hunger from, and to help there people back to greatness. Ah, the joy of playing really, really evul... :-)
The Blood Elfs have a capital to, of course. An amazing city called Silvermoon. It is stunning. The people working at Blizzard really outdid themselfs. Everywhere there is small details like.... magical brooms brushing the streets... flower pots flooting everywhere... gaurds tormenting a prisoner... etc, etc... And the buildings show what is going on with the people there. Beautiful houses with towers and spars. But despite the stunningness you always have that insanity feeling on everything you see. Amazing I tell ya...

The Draenei
( Draenei-picture here... )
These guys on the other hand are the extreme opposite of Blood Elfs basically... They are soooo damn good, I am almost getting a head-ache... Alright, so here are the short version off who these guys are.
The most interesting thing with these good guys though is that they are actually aliens... Yes, they are not from the world all the other races are. The come from another demesion or planet. They are the chosen people of the ligth, or of the angels, if you will. (Angels in World of Warcraft is called Naaru and is a kind off ligh-creatures only good, so to speak. Angels. :-P)
Anyway, they crashed on the planet and are now trying to help the good guys in the game in any way they can. They are almost as big as the taurens who are the biggest race in the game. They seem to be vary naive, but also very curious and extremely helpful, which I can imagine gets them into trouble now and then.
Since these guys are sooo very good and favored by these angel-beings, the Burning Legion (yes, those very, very bad guys) have a huge hatred towards them. So, they have basiclly been chasing them through the universe. Basically, the Draenei finds a planet, explores it, wants to stay, gets chazed away by the Burning Legion, the world is destroyed, the draenei finds a new planet, repeat... You get the picture. Anyway, now they have decided to take a stand, and help the Allience to try and stop the Burning Legion once and for all.
And there capital is there crashed space-ship. Not kidding. Very beautiful by all means, but the silliness in it all...
Oh, so heroic... *barf* Not my thing to play so very good, so... Yeah. I have one draenei to play, just because I wanted to at least try it. I highly doubt I'll play her very much, though... :-P

New areas: The Outland and getting to lvl 70...
You didn't think that Blizzard would give up and only give two new races to play? Oh no no no... I remember how proud I was when finally I got to the highest level one could reach in the game, level 60 with my hunter. But now, I am not the highest level anymore. Oh no, now you can work yourself all the way up to level 70. A bit hard to do in the old areas since well... You have done all the quests, and the beasts in the areas don't give any experience points anymore. So, what to do?
Well, they add another world, of course! :-D In one area there is now standing a Dark Portal. When walking through this portal (you need to be level 58 to do that) you get to another world called the Outland. This is the world that the Draenei came from and that the Burning Legion destroyed... You can imagine, this is not a nice place. Full of demons everywhere. I don't know much about this place yet, since I am still working on getting to level 61 with my hunter... But I can't wait to see new areas and doing new quests!
What I have seen so far is really cool, though. Everywhere you go, the world is partly crooked, so it feels like you will fall off all the time. And if you go to close to the edge.. you will. The most impressive thing in Outland though is the sky. In the old world, the sky was... normal. Blue or grey, depending on if it rained or not. The sky in Outland is full of planets moving around in different sizes, and cosmic storms... Sometimes when exploring I just have to stop and just stare at the screen at the artwork that is the Outland sky... You did it again, Blizzard!
I really can't wait to get my tauren hunter and her combat-animal up to level 70... We will rock! *grin*

Yes, this game will keep me entertained for a loooong time more.
Over and out.
