This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

Well I am hooked! :-D

I've been reading on the website for this movement/cool thing Bookcrossing all day. Check it out!

BOOKCROSSING.COM

I saw an documentary about this years ago, but forgot what it was called. Annoyed me, since I really liked the idea of just setting out your books and then see if someone picks them up and puts a note on the site when and where they did so. It annoyed me that I had forgot the name of the site and all that. Now... Today, I found it again. I have already picked out a few books to set free, in a matter of speaking... :-D It is going to be so much fun! And if no one leaves a note on the website... Who cares! Hopefully someone picked the book up and read it, maybe keept it. Fine to, with me.

Thing is, I can't for the life of me throw away a book. This way, there is a chance for someone else to enjoy them to. :-)

*starts planning where to put books in town....*

That's a really cool site.

But more importantly... that icon is awesome! Can I steal it?

It really is, and it is going to be fun doing to. :-) And the Books Dammit!-icon is made by [livejournal.com profile] sapphiresilver, so credit her and use it. ;-)

I joined this in England about five years or so ago. Trouble was, every time I left a book on the train, some sharp eyed person picked it up and shouted after me, "Excuse me, you've forgotten your book!"

It's amazing, leave your purse in a restaurant and no one notices, leave a book on a chair and the whole place tells you!

It is a bit silly, yes. But I have a plan for that. If someone shouts that after me, I'll just explain what I am doing and ask them if they wanna care for the book a bit. ;-)

There isn't that many people doing this in Sweden. And only one other person in this city, so it will be intresting on the whole. The other person is even writing an masters essey on it. :-D

Hehe... sounds like fun... For someone who got a lot of books... me, I go to the library so :P

But the "Hey, you forgot something!" might be a problem, or the "We throw away everything that's left here at closing time"... But other than that, this town does educate librarians, so I don't think you'll have a problem with getting finders ;)

Good luck :)

It does, doesn't it? I have so far found three books I surely can live without. I didn't like them much. And I know I have a few more books that I definitely can share with the world. I promise to report how it goes. :-)

And... There is nothing wrong with libraries. Thats what they are there for, after all. Librarian here, remember?
