Midsummer time! :-D
All packed up and ready to go! Yep. Tomorrow we'll be going to visit my relatives to celebrate Midsummer with them!
Ah... Midsummer... I love love LOVE to celebrate Midsummer! More then Christmas, actually, despite the gifts you get then. It's just something... special. With the loooooong bright nights... the food... the company. :-) And usually... the alcohol. Alas, no alcohol this year. But I'll live. :-) I'll dance around the maypole sober with the kids instead. *lol*
My aunt, mom's sis, always have this HUGE Midsummer party the day before Midsummer Eve for pretty much my entire huge extended family on mom's side... Yeah. I suspect we'll be around 30 people there... more or less. Around there anyway. They are my safety net. And I love them ALL equally. That party is usually the only party where we ALL meet up. So I can't wait for tomorrow afternoon! It'll be SUCH a blast! :-D
Then, on Friday on actual Midsummer Eve, my uncle, one of dads brothers, have invited us for a smaller midsummer party. :-) Not as many on dads side of the family as it were... plus they are not quite as loud... well, apart from my aunt that has married said uncle.... She is INSANE! And has such a dirty sense of humor, my goodness... I'll make sure to pour some wine in her and mom and just watch the show... X-D It'll be awesome. :-)
Come to think of it, I'll probably pour wine in mom and her sister tomorrow to... Those two after drinking some alcohol? DANGEROUS! GAWD DAMN LETHAL! And totally insane...
I've mentioned how much I love my huge extended family, haven't I? X-D Well, I do. They are loud, boisterous, loving and TOTALLY INSANE! X-D
Wait... that might explain a lot of me... *lol*
Anyway, so that's the plan for tomorrow and for Friday. Meeting relatives. (And probably get lots of pats on the belly! Nerd Jr, my dear... you'll be just as insane, you won't be able to help it....)
On Saturday we'll go home and then go straight to the LARP. Well, almost. :-)
Since our car is giving us such troubles, we'll go buy train. I haven't traveled by train in quite a while. I like it, so I am actually looking forward to it. peting73 does not like it that much though... Well, he don't mind it TO much, but yeah... He loves his car and driving instead. Fully understandable. So it'll be interesting for sure. :-)
We won't leave until 2pm tomorrow.... and then get home at the same time on Saturday. :-) 2 hour trip. Good planning!
