I remember back when I was about to leave school, & was looking around at colleges, one of the subjects I was looking at was politics, & a teacher at one of the colleges I looked at was telling bits of politics-related trivia to try & interest me in the course. One of the things was that the British prime minister has more individual power than the US president. But clever marketing & America's international influence means everyone assumes the US president can just snap his fingers & do anything, so if something happen then it must be all his fault.
