I got a Dreamwidth for that exact perpuse. You can copy your LJ, comments and all I believe, to Dreamwidth. Can crosspost to, I think, using Dreamwidth to crosspost to LJ. Haven't tried it though and have yet to copy my LJ over there. Haven't had the time to just sit down and do it.

And you are right. It would be fucking horryfing to lose everything I have here. It is my home, and I have written here since December 2003.... That is a lot of years. I would never consider switching though. I just couldn't.
