[Error: unknown template qotd]I DO! All the time. Usually with the cats or any inanimate objects. And definitely when I get annoyed at something. *lol*

Poor [livejournal.com profile] peting73 did get used to it after awhile and now he knows when I talk to him or not. I don't know how he knows, but he knows.

At work, it's even more hilarious. X-D At all the libraries I've worked at, none of the other librarians have even commented on my walking around muttering to myself. Why? BECAUSE THEY ALL DO IT TO!!! It's hilarious! Somehow it works though, and we poke each other to get each others attention when we want to say something or talk about something. I might end up at another library after my sick-leave. And I know a couple of the librarians working there, so I know it will be the same thing again. :-D Who said librarian work was boring? *lol*
[Error: unknown template qotd]Yes and no. Weird answer, I know. But the most beloved toy from my childhood? It's mom's teddybear. :-) No joke.

She got it when she was 6 or 7 years old, so it's a very old teddybear at this point. Mom had her 62nd birthday this weekend. Do the math. ;-)

Nalleman is his name, which sorta means Mr Teddy. Mom crocheted a suit for him and he has a baby-shirt on it which on him looks like a suit-shirt. There's nearly no fluff on him left, and his mouth is gone since it was embroided on from the beginning, but what with all the kisses that teddy has gotten... His eyes are still there though, hasn't lost those. And his nose, although its very worn since that to is embroided. He isn't filled with soft stuffing, but filled with so called wood wool.

At one point Nalleman had holes on his hands and feet. Or paws. And we couldn't fix him well since he was so old, but we found a teddy-doctor. A guy specialized in fixing old teddybears. So after much nervousness we sent Nalleman to him and he fixed all the holes on him.

When I grew up he was always sitting next to my bed or was laying next to me when I was sleeping. Even when I grew older. The entire time I lived at home. I moved away from home when I was 24.

So when I did move away from home I couldn't take him with me. As mom put it, he was never really mine. Nalleman is my mothers.

Nalleman sat in my parents bedroom after that on a comfy chair. And when dad died, he moved down the big bed on dads side giving mom comfort as she was grieving. He still sits there looking around in my mothers bedroom on a pillow in her bed.

One amazing teddybear. Nalleman always gets a hug from me when I visit my mother. No holes and still looking fine, apart from the fluff and the disappearing smile. When Alexandra gets a little older, we'll let her play with him to. I love that teddybear.
