Been visiting
spicehobbit tonight and had a really really good time. :-) It is good to have best friends, isn't it? She really is like a sister to me, and I don't know what I'd do without her. So, so happy we ended up living in the same city. :-)
Anyway, she got no car, and since
peting73 didn't need the car today, I took it and went over. And then we went on to the retrieval plant, since she'd gone through all the stuff she wanted to get rid off. Like old clothing, old books... Just... stuff that ends up cluttering your home. After that, we went back to her place and made a kick ass dinner!
And started to watch BBC's Sherlock Holmes. She is a huge fangirl of this series. I haven't watched it properly, so we did check it out. :-) And after dinner, of course... one have to have dessert, right? ;-) And man, had
spicehobbit made a lot of sweets! o.O She has turned addicted to experiment with macarons and cupcakes. I am not kidding. She seems to be on this mission to create the perfect macaron. I hope she makes it one day! They sure were tasty enough!
( So much cupcakes and macarons! o.O )
The cupcakes on the left are chocolate ones with chocolate frosting and silver sprinkles. And then the other cupcakes are chocolate ones with raspberry frosting. Then there are the macarons... The brighter ones with the bright filling on the left are cinnamon macarons with cream and apple filling. Then the ones to the right a bit darker with dark filling are vanilla macarons with chocolate filling. And those in the middle? That's liquorice macarons with liquorice filling... A very swedish taste, I would guess! *lol*
We ate so much we almost burst! X-D It was a good thing we watched the entire first season of BBC's Sherlock or I think we WOULD have burst! *lol*
And that series? That Sherlock? MY GAWD, WHAT AN ASSHOLE! No ill-will to any fangirls of him, but geezes chirst! I spent the ENTIRE time I watched this first season wanting to kick his ass and punch his face! He really really infuriated me! GAH!
spicehobbit apparently found this amusing, the silly woman. I just... don't see ANY appeal in that man. None. Silch. Nada.
Apparently, according to
spicehobbit Benedict Cumberbatch who plays Sherlock Holmes took inspiration from those suffering from Aspergers syndrome... And I could see that at times, very clearly even. See, I have a LARP-friend who has Aspergers. A friend I really adore. :-) And I could see similarities here and there. Absolutely. But he ain't such an ASSHOLE to everyone he meets. Sure, he don't always get social rules and he sure don't always get peoples emotions... but he asks (discreetly) friends and family when that happens. He's asked me to... "Is it OK to ask this? Can I do that without looking weird?" And when he does, you just answer. He gets an AHA-face, and all is good until next time there is something he don't get, or his mind gets overflown with numbers (he can get quite obsessed with numbers...). But he is never an asshole to people. He really isn't. Clumsy around people, sometimes... But never an ass. He has trouble with close contact with other people... But me? I always get a hug from him. That says a lot, and I love talking to him. A sweet guy and a nerd among nerds.
Nothing like the asshole Sherlock. Seriously... I felt sorry for Mrs Hudson and Watson on numerous occasions while watching that series. Mrs Hudson soon became a favorite. What a cute and cool british old lady. Awesome.
spicehobbit promised me that Sherlock would get a punch to the face in the next season, so I'll live on that until next time we have a lady-date with macarons and cupcakes... ;-)
