This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

Work today has been really good. I had a small group of kids visiting the library and had a small class with them where I taught them how to find there way in the library. They were only 9-10 years old. Usually groups from this class can be quite the handful, but these five kids were so GOOD! And interested! And they actually listened and had fun and... Well, I felt really good after that.

Been busy as hell after work these days, this weekend will be to. I hope, HOPE things will slow down soon. :-P And to make matters worse, the bus was... 30mins late when I was to go home, WTH! GAH! I thought they had solved there issues with that damn bus. :-( And then when I came home my cats had clawed some pretty big holes in my down comforter spreading down/feathers here and there in the bedroom... ARGH! TEN holes in my comforter... TEN! Two bigger and 8 smaller once... It took my 30mins to fix them.. DAMN CATS! Not on my good side today...

Thought I'd share this brilliant photo of the semlor we baked this weekend. He is quite good at taking photos, my darling hubby [livejournal.com profile] peting73 and he posts at least once a week with a photo or two and progress on his weigth-loss in his LJ. And this photo? Well, you can almost smell how nice they tasted... ;-)

(Originally posted HERE, photographer: [livejournal.com profile] peting73.)

Yes, they tasted just as good as they look. Here is a recipe if you want to try to make some yourself: Swedish Semlor (Pretty much the way I did it. 250 degrees C = 482 degrees F.)

Anyway, so memes...

The list-meme... )

Look at your LJ userpics list. If you have fewer than 50 icons, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five icons, pick every seventh one. If you have over seventy-five icons, pick every tenth one. If you have fewer than ten, pick all of 'em. List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly why you have it, why it's interesting to you, what significance does it have.

Here goes...

I have waaaaaaay to many icons to do memes like this anymore... )

And an icon meme for you on my friends list to fill out! My icons are HERE!

1. Pick an icon that is so very me.
2. Pick an icon that makes you laugh.
3. Pick an icon you don't understand.
4. Pick an icon you'd make out with.
5. Pick your favorite icon.
6. Pick an icon that you makes you curious.
7. Pick an icon that makes you :(
8. Pick an icon I should use more.
9. Pick an icon that makes you go "Aw!"
10. Pick any other icon you want for any reason

Lastly, don't think I have forgotten about Japan, just because I don't write about it. I care. I DO! It is just... to big. To horrifying to wrap your head around. Mind-boggling someone on my f-list wrote and it is true. It is. If your a fan in a fandom or another, you can always check out [livejournal.com profile] help_japan... I will join in there. Just saying.

Over and out.

For a Thursday, this hasn't been to bad. My boss / colleague is away on a combined trip and course so at first I was supposed to be alone today... Oh hell no, I say to that. :-P So I got reinforcement from the librarian that worked here before me. The kids were sorta calm (sorta...) until the last hour... But it doesn't surprise me very much. When it was all over we discussed working at that school a bit together... Me, I thought I was the alone in actually fearing the Thursday afternoons and being totally beat when I come home and all that... But apparently I am not. She was much like that to when she worked at this school-library or so she told me. And confessed that she was quite glad not to work there anymore. It is terrible to say, but... I understand her. At this school-library, your not just a librarian, oh no... Your a librarian, a mother, a shrink, a teacher, a friend.... all in one go. It ain't easy. And my boss / colleague is just... to nice to them kids at times, something we both agreed on... That makes me not tell her when I feel feed up with them kids and feel that I just can't take much more... *shakes head* I have said it before, but I'll say it again. It is a tough school-library to work at. :-P

Ah well... Managed to get caught up with my f-list last night, which felt brilliant, thank you. Finally. I haven't been caught up since [livejournal.com profile] peting73 was sick. :-P Quite a few of my friends on my f-list have had some tough stuff happening to them, and I hope you all feel better now, despite what is going on in the world.

Talking of the situation in the world.... the ever friendly mods of [livejournal.com profile] th_fanfic has made a collection post where the writers in the Tokio Hotel fandom can announce there auctions for [livejournal.com profile] help_japan. Don't know if it has been done in any other fandoms (I'll be locking into the fandoms I am in, at least) but I thought it would be nice to see anyway.

[livejournal.com profile] musique_style posted about this really cool band, or whatever you wanna call them, some time ago. They mix up music that is usually connected to black people and ghettos and such... and classical violin music... Yeah, I was at first going o.O But then I listened to it, and HOLY SHIT! They are GOOD people! Damn good! You should give them a listen to... Here is there website:
Black Violin

Balck Violin - Brandenburg... )

I really like that music video.... I am seriously considering getting their album...

Another video that I REALLY liked [livejournal.com profile] steinsgrrl pimped. And this guy is, in one world, hilarious... He talks so fast I am surprised he has time to breath... And the first time I watched I had a hard time keeping up with what he was saying, so I had to watch it a couple of times more before I could keep up with him. Just saying. If your not a native english speaker, you'll have to give it a chance before you'll get what he is saying. It is worth it though, because this guy wins the internet. So DAMN GOOD! :-D

You don't need a boyfriend to feel good! )

Here is another video with this guy as well, because just like him we've all meet them, right? Those girls that are dumb. Just plain dumb. X-D
