Been visiting my family this weekend. :-) Just got home, actually. First on Saturday we went to moms and spent the whole evening there. Was great. She always gets so happy when we visit, and offers us sweets and great food. We watched the swedish Eurovision Song Contest and agreed all three of us that most songs sucked this year. I expect the swedish contribution to end up in the bottom during the international Eurovision Song Contest. Just saying.
Today we helped mom clean up a bit in her house. Then we split up some jewelry that mom inherited from her mom and dad, my grandparents, when they died. When I was a kid, I bought a necklace for my grandfather. He, as me, is the astrology sign Cancer, so I bought him a gold necklace with that sign on it. He put it on then, and never took it of until he died. Now I have taken it back and can wear it myself. :-) It feels good. And I got a small necklace after my grandmother to. A silver one, a bit broken and dirty, but I'll hand it in to a jeweler to get it cleaned up and fixed and I think it will look great again soon. :-) Also, when I lived at home me and mom all had our jewelry in a box in a cupboard.... all mixed together... Yeah. :-P So we went through all that stuff and put the things none of us wanted in one pile, what I still wanted to keep in one pile and what mom wanted to keep in one pile. Geez we had a lot of stuff! o.O Anyway, the stuff none of us wanted I'll bring to the LARP on Saturday. I am sure a lot of people want the stuff. A lot of weird plastic 80's jewelry that will probably give people a laugh. *grin*
This afternoon evening we went to my brothers. His oldest, that is his daughter, had her 3 year birthday party today. Was A LOT of fun! Got to meet my crazy and loving family again. :-) And even though they all had comments on my lip-piercing ("More metallic junk in your face?") they were all happy to meet me and hugs and kisses were shared all around! :-D No matter what, we all love and support each other. And that is what is so damn awesome with my huge family!
I had bought two books for my niece, and she loved them! I had to read both of them twice sitting on the kitchen-floor. X-D So much bliss! Also, I told her she had to have her father read them to her to... winking at my brother who groaned... He is dyslectic, but he does put up an effort for his kids. :-) I usually tease my brother without mercy, but as a father... he rocks. He is so awesome with his children it makes my heart swell. :-)
So yeah. You could say this weekend has been great! I hope yours were to.
