Looking up... And birthday!

So, yesterday was my love, mrP's birthday. Or as he is more commonly known, Peting. :-) Might as well use his nick here as well. Don't know why I haven't? :-P Anyway! YAY! I got him a really expensive gift to. His computer-screen had given up on two places, giving him two grey dot's on the screen. Highly annoying! So I bought him a new one. I even let him choose, which made it kinda expensive. But it was worth it. this one. Damn it was expensive... o.O But the geeky grin on Petings face was soooo worth it. Also... other... things... made it worth it to... *cough* ANYWAY!

So, this sunday was spent with Petings family, meaning his aunt and family and his mother. Was great fun! His family might not be that big, but they are so insane, I always enjoy spending time with them. :-) And yesterday my mom came over to to visit and give gifts to Peting. We got some beautiful candle-holders from her, from Kosta Boda. So wonderful! (And damn expensive to...But thats mom for you.) Peting's best friend was here to with his HIGHLY pregnent girl-friend as well. She is to have in February, but she has been ill from her pregnancy since... well. After she had been pregnent for three months. She can be a bit annoying, but.. There is nothing bad with her really. My mom (who is by no means subtle and can be a bit mean at times) told her to grow up and stop complaining. I don't think she got the hint, sadly. My mom apologized to me afterwards, but I told her it was fine. :-) I love my mom. Saying what I am thinking. ;-)

Today sunnifwa was supposed to come visit, but since we talked around each other for some reason, that didn't happen. I thought she was coming and she thought it didn't work since I hadn't called her back or answered her SMS. Silliness. But we made new plans for friday next week, since then... Dum dum dum... She has her birthday! Wohoo! So we'll have ourselfs a Pirate-evening then, I think. Watching all the Pirates-movies in a go. :-D

Had a chatt just now with chigrima to. Good to hear all is well on that snowy island over there. And all is well with school to, it seemed. It does feel good to hear from my friends now and then so I know everything is good with everyone. Be it here on LJ, a mail, just an SMS or a phone-call. Just so I know your fine. :-)

On the work-front I haven't talked to my boss yet. But that is just because he didn't work on monday and tuesday that I worked, and was coming on the day I was off.... Oh well. Tomorrow though we'll both be there, so I'll talk to him then. On monday I had an intresting mail waiting for me to where it said that "we have to discuss your sick-days". OK? So now I can't be sick either...? I guess we are to discuss that tomorrow to. Yippiekay yay.... Will be an intresting day tomorrow me thinks.

Anyway! I thought I'd share some stuff with you lot that I found in the community potc_discussion. OK now, this community doesn't only discuss PotC. It discusses everything about the time-period. Many of the members there are slash-friendly to, so when there came a question about... lubricant during the eighteenth century, I wasn't suprised at all.... I HIGHLY recommend you read this short post and the comments that follow. It is intresting in a LOL!-way, and if one is writing slash-fic in that period of time, it might even be useful! They have also found info about a website regarding gay subcultures during the eighteenth century that seems to have things well-researched. Might also be useful. I wouldn't know. I have never written slash. :-P

They also took up the subject of hangings during the eighteenth century. I found that post very intresting, oddly fascinating even. (I know you do to, sunnifwa, don't try to hide!) Talk about your sunday-entertainment! And people think that the modern human is cruel... Hello! *snicker*
