A nice meme and also: Why celebrate your birhtday? :-)

Found this meme in [livejournal.com profile] marycrawfords LJ and I thought what the hell. Maybe I'll lern new things from my F-list to? :-)

1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite food. Or a quote from what you are reading. Something random. Whatever you like.

2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.

3. You WILL update your LJ with the answers to the questions.

4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.

5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.

So, comment away and I will ask you questions!

The answers to [livejournal.com profile] marycrawfords questions:

1) What's your favorite Xena episode, and why?

Oh, good heavens. That is a tough one. There is soooo many! Six seasons to choose from after. But! If I have to pick a favorite there must be well... A two-parter actually. Don't ask me to pick one of them, because I really can't. :-)

It would be The Debt I and The Debt II. Why, I hear you ask? Well. Me, I have a big soft spot for episodes where you get to see things from Xena's past. And here you really get just that. And lots of it to. This is the Xena when she is at the most evil really. Or close to it. Lucy Lawless really play it well. And, of course you get quite a bit piece of sub-text thrown in for free. (Lao Ma was your mentor, you say? Saved your life? Of course. Thats why she kissed you like that. I understand perfectly.) Also there is plenty sexy scenes between Xena and her lover Borias. Damn that man has an hot accent!

But the peeks at Xena's past is not the only reason, oh no. The wonderful dynamics between Gabrielle and Xena is another reason why I like these. There is a reason to why we get to see the peeks of Xena's past after all, and that story is quite good to. Not to mention the end of this story starts the rift between Gabrille and Xena that later down the line really ends up bloody and also very very sad.

Can you tell season 3 is my favorite season? ;-) It really is. Also The Debt I was the first episode of Xena I ever saw way back when in the States in 1997 (or was it 1996?). Ah, the memories. :-)

2) What's the last book you read?

At the moment I am reading a series of books actually. 13 books in said series. The Clan Novels based on the roleplaying game Vampire the Masquerade. I have owned these 13 books for years, I just never read them. Well, I am now. And they are a bit confusing, but very very good. I have just finished the novel about Clan Gangrel and am now reading the book about Clan Setite. Plots, intrigues, blood, mind-games... Well, the usual stuff of a good vampire book. Also sex, of course. ;-) Surprisingly they are quite well written, with an original idea behind them to. All 13 novels are about approximately the same period of time... Seen from different angels. That I find quite interesting at least. Not to mention I play the LARP based on the game Vampire the Masquerade. That of course helps as well. Sadly though, you can't buy these books anymore, as far as I know. They are out of print.

3) Spring or autumn, which is better?

I like both very much. :-) Early spring when the snow melts and flowers and grass and everything basically comes back to life. Autumn I like to with the rough weather and the storms. Yes. Both. :-)

4) What's your favorite comfort food?

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate... Did I mention chocolate? :-D In any form, really. ;-)

5) What is the last song you listened to?

I don't listen much to music, but today I listed quite a bit to Weird Al when I turned on my computer. He always makes me grin. Plus the lyrics he writes are quite clever at times. :-)

Yesterday was really nice. Yes, the small computer-shock included. ;-) MrP thinks my new comp will arrive sometime next week. Typical really since I doubt I'll have much time to play with it then. Because it is during that week I will have to somehow organize together food for around 50 people for my birthday party the 4th. *sigh* Some of my relatives I know won't come, but still. There will be a shit load of people there, and I will have to make a shit load of food. Good thing both my mom and MrP's mom has agreed to help me. I wouldn't have made it otherwise, really. So, I have started to plan at least, so it doesn't feel totally hopeless yet. :-P Thank gawd for all those parties I have been sorta involved with at the Student Union Pub. That sure helps now!

I actually worked until 4pm yesters on my birthday. Not so fun. The boss of my group found out I had my birthday and sent an internal email telling everyone about it, and shortly after my inbox was spamed. Nice spam though, helped the day go by faster. :-) And I haven't even worked there long. OK, so working there is not that exiting, but people seem to try to make the best of it at least. Good that. Sadly though, the boss of my group is getting a new job and will quite her job as our boss. Feels a bit nervous since now I have no idea who I will have as a boss in the future. Rumors, rumors.... Only the people that are being talked about is not anyone I know, since I haven't worked there long. Oh well. I guess I'll learn the ropes as I go. :-) I usually do.

Gosh, this turned out to be a long post! Cudos to the one that managed to stay with me through the whole thing! :-D

Take care, folks!
